Hi, there!

I'm Daniel, a global marketing leader, creative venture builder, enthusiastic communicator, passionate educator, lifetime student, amateur actor, and optimist. I love discussing ideas, building brands and companies, designing experiences, and connecting with people. I'm fueled by great conversations, modern art, theater, travel, high-intensity group workouts, and good coffee.

As Senior Vice President of Portfolio Growth at RTL Deutschland, I co-lead a venture building unit, responsible for identifying, acquiring, building, and nurturing new growth opportunities for RTL. Our primary focus revolves around digital ventures within the consumer health and wellbeing sector.

As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Moss, a fast-growing Berlin-based fintech startup, valued at more than €500M, I was previously responsible for scaling the Marketing division to drive business growth and brand love throughout Europe.

Before that, I was VP of Marketing at Zeitgold, an SMB accounting automation startup that was acquired by payroll and compliance unicorn Deel post Series B financing. Together with my team, I led all aspects of Zeitgold’s marketing, from customer acquisition to brand strategy, social media marketing, product marketing, and content marketing.

Previously, I worked at online education startup Udacity, where I led all of their Marketing, Customer Acquisition, and PR efforts to grow their EU business. I have also led Business Operations in Udacity's HQ in Silicon Valley and built, taught, and marketed Digital Marketing courses for a bestselling Certification Program together with partners such as Google, Meta, HubSpot, and others.

Before joining Udacity, I worked at international media company Bertelsmann. I first served as Chief of Staff to the Executive Board of the magazine division Gruner + Jahr (today RTL Deutschland) and later worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence in Germany and the US. I started my professional career in 2006 at Scholz & Friends, a leading advertising agency and part of the WPP network.

I'm a lifelong learner and was fortunate to attend college and graduate school in Germany, the UK, and the US. I have received a BA in Media Management from the Hamburg School of Business Administration, an MA in Media and Public Relations from Newcastle University, and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where I was named an Arjay Miller Scholar.
